Scuba Diving is a sport where one would experience the beauty and treasures of the deep blue sea. To make this sport available for the tourists, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) has been working towards setting up a Scuba Diving facility at Chintapalli in Vizianagaram. As what comes in as a delightful news, the scuba divers from a private association called Livein Adventures in Visakhapatnam, have swum through the region in Chintapalli to check the facility and came across a shipwreck of a 100 years old ship, deep down.
The association has revealed information about the ship a long time back and have added extra information obtained from the latest dive.
For Scuba diving, shallow and clear waters is a mandatory point. The Livein Adventures have been conducting scuba diving sport at Mangamaripeta in Visakhapatnam from past 4 years. Since the waters at Mangamaripeta do not comprise the conditions required for sea diving, the association has started exploring waters in Vizianagaram. On exploring the waters at Chintapalli, the divers mentioned that they have found a suitable place with clear and shallow waters for diving. It is also the place where they have found a shipwreck.
Livein Adventures Director, Balram Naidu, said, ” The scuba diving at the wreckage area will stand among the popular adventures in the state. The place is also compatible for diving and tourists are going to have a lot of fun. The adventure would be open for tourism from October this year.”
