The Simhachalam Devasthanam, Vizag has agreed to lease 15 acres of temple land to Mount Dios for setting up an International School. These 15 acres are currently agreed to be leased for 30 years for the school. The revenue that the Simhachalam Temple will accrue from the lease is 2 crores per annum. The lease has been granted after Simhachalam Devasthanam took permission from the Government. Mount Dios is a Bengaluru based organization. The land allocated is near Adavivaram, Vizag.
Mount Dios plans to set up a highly modern and forward looking school for a secondary level. The school organization submitted a proposal and the Government issued a GO and sanctioning 15 acres of Simhachalam Temple land near Adavivaram.
The plan is that the lease fixed for now will be increased later in phases and that the revenue of 2 crores that will be generated will go to temple fund. the Simhachalam Temple would get more publicity and the education sector in Vizag will get a boost. The lease deed has been drafted in the name of Mount Dios International School at Gopalapatnam.
