The festive season has begun in Visakhapatnam, with Dussehra this week and Diwali next month. Due to this, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) is expecting a lot of rush in trains. Hence, three festive special trains have been launched by ECoR in order to deal with the holiday rush in Visakhapatnam. These trains will be operating from 15 October, 2021 to 3 November, 2021 on a weekly basis. Two of these festive special trains will be running between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad while the other will be running between Visakhapatnam and Tirupati.
Here are the festive special trains through Visakhapatnam that have been launched by ECoR and their timings:
#1 Train no. 08579 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad weekly Puja special will depart from Visakhapatnam railway station at 7 PM on 13, 20 and 27 October, 2021. The train will reach Secunderabad railway station at 7 AM the next day.
In the opposite direction, train no. 08580 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam weekly Puja special will leave from Secunderabad railway station at 7:40 PM on 14, 21 and 28 October, 2021. This festive special train will then reach Visakhapatnam at 6:40 AM the next day.
#2 Train no. 08583 Visakhapatnam-Tirupati weekly Puja special will leave from Visakhapatnam railway station at 7:15 PM on 18, 25 October, 2021 and 1 November, 2021. The train will reach Tirupati at 7:30 PM the next day.
In the reverse direction, train no. 08584 Tirupati-Visakhapatnam weekly Puja special will depart from Tirupati at 9:55 PM on 19 and 26 October, 2021 and 2 November, 2021. This festive special train will then arrive in Visakhapatnam at 10:20 AM the next day.
#3 Train no. 08585 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad weekly Puja special will depart from Visakhapatnam at 5:35 PM on 19, 26 October, 2021 and 2 November, 2021. It will reach Secunderabad at 7:10 AM the next day.
In the opposite direction, train no. 08586 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam weekly Puja special will leave from Secunderabad at 9:05 PM on 20, 27 October, 2021 and 3 November, 2021. It will then arrive in Visakhapatnam at 9:50 AM the next day.
Along with this, APSRTC is also operating 425 buses from Vizag to clear the Dussehra rush.
