Spending the long weekend in Vizag this winter

Winters in Vizag aren’t just about snuggling up in a blanket and sipping a cup of hot coffee. Given the natural treasures that lie across the district, there remain multiple possibilities that can be explored in each season. And winter too, is no different. With a long weekend and celebratory occasions lined up in the coming few months, here is how you’d like to spend the cold months in Vizag.

Star Gazing

Lying on a bed of grass and staring at the vast expanse of stars seems like a perfectly idyllic option this winter. end the year with a trip to the interior regions where the city lights are negligible and you’ll witness a sight you’ll never forget. Numerous stars spread out as a canopy high up in the sky. Have fun spotting the constellations, take a telescope along if possible, or just lie on the ground and stare into the world beyond our little dot.

Bonfire

Pitch a tent to retreat into and start a bonfire to sit and sing around. Don’t forget to take along some peppy music and cook some delicious food while the fire is going. It just makes the whole experience even more fructifying. A barbeque night along with the bonfire can also double up the fun factor.

Bike expedition to Araku or Lambasingi

What adventure can you resort to while most of the city is all snuggled up cosy woollen wear this winter? How about taking an epic road trip with your gang to Vizag’s favourite spots- Araku

or Lambasingi? As the revving engines and the hunky travel gear form the inevitable thrills of an expedition, get set on a memorable ride with songs from the films by Gautam Vasudev Menon.

Drive through the beach stretch

We couldn’t possibly get tired of it, could we? After passing the day with your favourite all through the day, a night-drive along the beach road in these cold weathers is hard to substitute. So choose your ride and pick your company to spend the night away the winter nights amid the sea and hills in Vizag.
