The Convener of the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar School & State President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva organization S.G. Chalam, members of the Governing Body, A.Kausalya, Principal, staff and students paid rich tributes to Prameela Abburi, 79 at a condolence meeting held at school premises today morning.
Everyone observed 2-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed great academician. Prameela Abburi, the 1st Principal of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar school who passed way on 25 February 2019 evening quietly at her residence.
Sri Chalam, Governing body members, Principal and staff recalled the untiring selfless efforts and dedication of Prameela Abburi in imparting quality education to the budding students and for her passion to serve the needy and underprivileged in the society with love.
Prameela Abburi had joined Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar school (SSSVV) in the year 1985 and served as its first Principal till 2000 and laid a strong foundation for value based education. She was an ardent devotee of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and she had dedicated herself in imparting human values education to the students. She was even blessed by Sri Sathya Sai Baba on various occasions.
Prameela Abburi who hails from an illustrious family of academicians was married to late Dr. Abburi Goplakrishna who was well-known for his paintings, literary research and former Head of the Department of Theatre Arts in Andhra University. She is survived by her only son Hari who lives in the United States. Her last rites will be performed on 27th February 2019.
