Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu posted on his FB page that the state government is all set to begin work on the capital in 2017. The post titled ‘Work on #Amaravati to begin from 2017’ stated that the government has decided to complete the construction of the capital by 2018. By then, the basic infrastructure of Amaravati will be taken care of.
The CM directed officials to ensure that the government complex in the administrative capital ‘reflects uniformity as well as the culture of Andhra Pradesh’.
Amongst the plans for the capital are, a huge Buddha statue on a hill near the Krishna river. It will be located on a hill near Prakasam Barrage, on the hill that has the Kanaka Durga Temple.
With such huge plans announced for Amaravati ever since its declaration as the capital, we look forward to seeing how it shapes up.
