The recent drownings at the Vizag beach are proving the fact about how dangerous the coastline of Vizag is when it comes to swimming. Adding more to the tragic fact, two students are feared to have drowned in the beach on Wednesday.
21 BSc second year students of Government Degree College from Tuni in East Godavari
visited the Venkatanagaram beach under Payakaraopeta police station limits. Out of them, four students went for a swim and were pulled in by the currents. While two managed to swim back to the shore safely, the other two Raju and P. Sairam couldn’t make it back and feared to have drowned.With the help of fishermen, the police are on a search operation in the beach.

Zaid (16), along with his two brothers, went to the Jodugulapalem Beach. The youngsters climbed one of the rocks at the site to click a selfie. Despite the locals’ warning them not to venture as the sea was rough, the youngsters allegedly ignored them. However, tragedy struck when a giant wave hit from the back and sucked them into the sea.
