Indian cricketer Suresh Raina had a lucky escape on Tuesday. The cricketer, who was traveling from Ghaziabad to Kanpur, had narrowly missed a car accident. One of the rear tyres of the Range Rover he was traveling in burst near Etawah. Police said that the consequences would have been more damaging had the been traveling at high speed.
Unfortunately, the car had no spare tyre and Raina was stranded until another vehicle was arranged by the Police. The incident happened at 2 a.m. DSP Rajesh Kumar informed that Raina was at the wheels when the incident took place. The police also informed that there was no injury to the cricketer.
Suresh Raina, who is the captain of the India Blue Team in the Duleep trophy, was traveling to Kanpur to play his next match at the GreenPark Stadium.
Suresh Raina has been passing through a tough phase recently. The southpaw has been out of the Indian Cricket Team for quite some time now and is aiming to do well in the domestic tournaments to make a comeback. The cricketer has also been training hard for the past three to four months and has even shed around 4-5 kilos of weight. He is confident that his hard work will pay a dividend and will definitely get back into the national team. In fact, Raina had even traveled to Mumbai and spent some quality time with Sachin Tendulkar.
