The man who lit the screen in the MS Dhoni movie, Sushant Singh Rajput is all set to reprise the role once again in the biopic sequel of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
Reports from a source close to Sushant and mid-day, it has been known that the sequel would be produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Films.
The sequel of MS Dhoni movie would be focusing on Dhoni’s accolades after the victory at the 2011 World Cup. The source says, “There is the [Dhoni-led Chennai’] thrilling win against Bangalore at the T20 [this year, that can be depicted in the film]. Apart from that, India’s steady run, up to the semi-finals, at the 2015 World Cup will find a place in the narrative.”
The film would also focus on the moments of Dhoni becoming a father to Ziva.
The source also says that MS Dhoni, in the likes of the first installment, would also be a part of the script discussion for the sequel. The making of the film would start from next year as Sushant is working on the biopic of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Muralikant Petkar.
The director of the sequel is yet to be decided.
MS Dhoni The Untold Story which released in 2016 was an epic blockbuster collecting Rs 216 crores at the box office. Sushant Singh Rajput, with his stunning performance alike Dhoni, had won applause from the critics as well.
