Visakhapatnam has always been touted to be a hub for startups. But now, it is all set to be a hub for technology startups; keeping in line with the FinTech hub it’s touted to be.
The Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society’s goal is to make the ‘one entrepreneur per family’ motto of the state government come true. They’re also set to make Visakhapatnam the hub of technology startups. Chief Executive Officer of APIS, V Valli Kumari stated that they’re looking at young and local talent whose ideas could be turned into successful business models.
A world-class incubation centre that will specifically promote IT, Electronics, Telecom, Fabrication and Manufacturing start-ups will soon be coming up. They will soon be organising ‘India International Innovators Fair’ in Visakhapatnam that will see participation from innovators from 30 countries.
A drone manufacturing company will also be coming up in Visakhapatnam that will manufacture 20 drones per month. The Innovation Society is looking forward to encourage innovative ideas and has been conducting awareness programmes in schools, colleges and universities for the same. District and state level awareness programmes will be conducted for recognition of innovative ideas that help solve citizens’ issues.
