Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be visiting Vizag on 23 December. The TRS supremo will be embarking his week-long political tour from the city. KCR will arrive in the city on Sunday noon and proceed directly to Sri Sarada Peetham at Pendurthi, where he will seek the blessings of one of his spiritual gurus, Swami Swaroopanandendra Saraswati.
Reportedly, KCR, along with his family members, will perform special puja to Goddess Rajasyamala at the premises of the ashram. Following lunch, Telangana’s Chief Minister will then leave for Bhubaneswar, where he will be meeting Odisha Chief Minister Navin Patnaik.
Subsequently, he will be meeting his West Bengal counterpart, Mamata Banerjee before flying to New Delhi, where he is slated to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BSP Chief Mayawati, Samajwadi Chief Akhilesh Yadav and several other leaders.
The move is being seen as a major step in KCR’s agenda of forging a “non-BJP non-Congress” federal front.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, welcomed KCR’s visit to the state but said that the Telangana Chief Minister’s tours to different states will create confusion among political parties.
On the other hand, officials in Vizag have been busy making arrangements for the neighbouring state’s Chief Minister to the city.
