Things to do in you free time

Everybody craves for some ‘me time” every now and then. But if you do not plan things and time properly, you can get bored easily. Hence always keep a check of things you can do in your free time. Here is a list of some interesting things that you can do in your free time to shoo away boredom. Take notes J

Learn a new language

Remember how we bunked French and German classes in high school and never gave importance to languages and regret it now! Well thanks to the technology that we can easily learn new languages from the internet and phone applications as well. This will not only increase our vocabulary but also gives us insight to different cultures. Besides you get to add a language on your resume.

Do volunteer activity

Volunteer activity is the best to pass time and get something out of it. Trips to old age homes and an orphanage will surely wet your eyes and sooth your soul. You get to play with many dogs and cats in an animal rescue centre [aww] and hey, you did some part for the society too.

Get in touch with people

Call old friends and relatives and rekindle the old spark of love with them. Hectic lives often do not provide time to get in touch with everyone. So whenever you have the luxury of free time, get in touch with people from school and college. It can also prove to be a good networking opportunity.

Write your heart out

Writing is the best remedy to anxiety and depression. This will make you feel light and who knows, you can someday make a good writer too. Grab a pen and write about anything that strikes your mind. Remember that you can also make money out of it.

Learn a music instrument

Okay, this may sound cheesy but trust me it will definitely boost your mood and self confidence. You get to learn a new instrument and utilise the free time in the proper way.  And we don’t need to tell you that women have a weakness for men who are into music {wink wink}.

Meditate

We are not asking you to chant mantras or anything, simply sit on your bed, tune into some soulful music and close your eyes. If you have too many things going on in your mind and you find it really difficult to concentrate on work, meditation is one of the most effective ways to calm your senses. It will really help you to sharpen your focus and give you fresh perspective to solve problems.

Make a bucket list

Make a bucket list coz why not! Everybody has few wishes which he/she wants to fulfil. Make your own list and think of ways to fulfil them. Start working on ways to achieve your wish because – ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’.
