9 things we learnt from Scooby Doo

Remember how we grasped the television till our favourite show Scooby Doo ended?

Those childhood evenings were the best when Scooby and Shaggy gave us friendship goals. While the attachment to the show is clearly seen in every 90’s kid, there are several reasons as to why this show was important to us. The Scooby Doo family probably solved more cases than Sherlock Holmes could ever have and always had each other’s back. Cheers to the era where Fred, Daphne, Scooby, Shaggy and Velma were squad goals. Unknowingly, the show taught us many things that were useful to us while growing up. Find a few of them below.

Do not trust strangers

It was always clear that there was some human behind the rubber ghost mask but remained a mystery till the end of the episode. It was Scooby’s stupidity that helped solved the mystery and Fred’s brilliant ideas that led to the disguised monster. The show clearly depicted that it’s a bad idea to trust any stranger even if you are offered a ‘Scooby snack’.

Everybody deserves Scooby Snack

Scooby could go to any extent to have his Scooby snack in the show. Everybody deserves some Scooby snack every now and then as rewards to how they handle life. As a child, mere coconut cookies were our fav Scooby snack and remember the times we completed our homework earlier to get an extra cookie! Yeah, they were good days. 🙂

Splitting up always help

Remember how Fred always split up the squad into two to find more ways to track down the culprit and how surprisingly it always worked! This works in real life as well and will definitely help you solve more mysteries. Even though Scooby always found himself into trouble after splitting, there always was a way to handle situations and Scooby was a pro.

Everybody has something to offer

No matter how different everybody was on the show, the team work always helped them solve every mystery. The involvement of everybody in the struggle to find out the monster always proved to get results. Everybody was unique in his/her way and contributed their 100%. From Velma’s intelligence and Fred’s quick plans to Scooby’s stupidity and Shaggy’s idiotic behaviour, It somehow helped to bring the culprit to light.

It is okay to be different

No matter how different everybody was from each other, they were always accepted in the squad and always worked together. Scooby had a disorder but was always accepted by the family with his flaw. In fact this came out to give a more powerful image to Scooby. This is how we learned to accept people in our childhood too.

Monsters do not exist

It was always a human behind the monster mask working for his own profit. At the end of every episode, we were introduced to the reality that there is no monster in this world and humans are the one who creates chaos. We hope this lesson was followed by everybody and implied in real life too.

A friend in need is a friend indeed

The connection between Scooby and Shaggy was always something to look for. They were strong friendship goals and had each other’s back. They worked together to reach their goals and achieved with flying colours. This shows that the one who always stands with you is the one to look out for in happy times.

Sometimes we cannot see things which are right in front of us

While solving mysteries, the Scooby Doo family often ignored the signs right in front of them. This often happens in real life as well. We tend to ignore things right in front of us and assume things that never happened. This creates misunderstandings and ruins relations. Hence should be avoided.

Bravery is not a lack of fear, but the ability to carry on despite being afraid

Shaggy and Scooby would often run away after being confronted by a ghost but always came out with a plan to solve the mystery. This shows that no matter how big a problem is, take baby steps to work it out and things will untangle.

Big thanks to the Scooby squad for making our lives happy and more solved. The Scooby Dooby Doo show still remains our favourite.
