If there is one place that has seen exponential growth in recent years, it definitely has to be our very own City of Destiny. It was always considered one of the most liveable cities in our state for its beaches and most importantly the peaceful environment. Vizag never failed to give its denizens more and more reasons to fall in love with it. Over the years the city has developed into a metropolitan, giving rise to KFC, INOX, McDonald’s, and many other international brands. But the hunger of Vizagites, to have wider options within their reach, did not suffice. Unlike other cities, which house top international brands and other modern facilities, Vizag is limited to lesser options.
Scroll down to check things Vizagites would love to see in the city in the next few years.
Though we have KFC, McD, Dominos and other famous food outlets in Vizag, wouldn’t it be great to have a little more? The one thing that would excite most of the foodies is the thought of having Krispy Kreme in their neighbourhood. Starbucks, one of the most loved coffee brands across the world, has found its way into many well-developed cities across the city. But our city still awaits its arrival.
A visit to any other metropolitan is incomplete without touring the exclusive stores of international brands such as Zara, H&M, Sephora. Despite the number of shopping malls across the city, shopaholics always hoped for such brands to have their stores opened in Vizag.
IKEA is one such brand that is loved equally by men, women, children, adults alike for the wide range of options. Just like the range of products, the outlets are equally wide and spacious. If window shopping is your idea of pastime, there is no better place than IKEA to while away a couple of hours. Furniture, decorative showpieces, uniquely shaped lights, flower vases, kitchen appliances and whatnot. There’s nothing you cannot find at IKEA to decorate your home.
Though a Night Food Bazaar was established near Old Jail Road, it had to be shut down just a couple of months after its inception due to the outbreak of COVID-19. Since then, it has left the night owls of Vizag in a state of confusion as to when it will be reopened again.
The only possibility of snowfall in Vizag is if an ice age dawns upon the world. But wait. What if we have a snow world in our city? Imagine spending a hot summer day in a snow world, building snowmen, going ice skating, and immersing in piles of snow.
Reports have suggested in the past that Vizag will have metro lines along its busy roads to relieve the people of the traffic troubles. Since then, we haven’t heard anything of the inauguration of the metro project in our city. How easy life would be if we could travel from Madhurawada to NAD Junction in 20 minutes?
