In a successful initiative, Andhra Pradesh and Thomson Reuters launched two information technology projects in Visakhapatnam. One of the biggest names, Thomson Reuters is quite happy at inking the pact since it has shared the AP vision for developing Visakhapatnam as the Information Technology hub. The dream is to develop a world-class ecosystem for Fintech in Visakhapatnam that will aid state governance. This announcement came at the same time on the two-day conference on Blockchain technology where CM Naidu was present.
The papers have been exchanged between Thomson Reuters and state government and the end beneficiaries are to be the city of Visakhapatnam, the students and research along with a start up culture. Pradeep Lankapalli, Managing Director of Thomson Reuters (South Asia) was present on the occasion.
The 2 Information Technology projects:The first project is the setting up of an innovation app studio in Gitam University in Visakhapatnam that is aimed to aid students, academics, researchers, and start-ups. The second project is Digital Content Exchange, under the e-Pragati Scheme that involves content powered by Thomson Reuters e-book software, Proview, and legal research solution i.e WestLaw.
The major reason for the initiative happens to be the promotion of Blockchain technology which is in the ‘take off’ stage but is expected to create a huge difference ahead in future.
