Mahesh Babu to attend tourism festival in Vizag on Vijayadasami

Vizag is celebrating World Tourism Day which is on September 27th by organizing the Dasaravali tourism festival. A six days event Dasaravali will be held on our beautiful shoreline at RK Beach.  It starts from September 27th to mark World Tourism Day and extends till October 2nd. This announcement was made in Vizag at a media conference where in Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister N Chinarajappa said that the occasion is being utilised to showcase the beautiful tourist spots of Visakhapatnam to the world and attract international tourists to the city.

Traditional and contemporary artists from across various states will showcase their artistic and cultural skills. There will be a number of cultural programmes at the venue. The cultural will happen between 4 p.m to 8 p.m everyday. The Chief Ministers plan to promote tourism in the state is reflected in this festival as per the message of Deputy Chief Minister. The potential in the state will be tapped and no stone unturned. Vizag as a tourism destination is flourishing and very popular. The Dasaravli festival on the eve of World Tourism Day comes as no surprise.

Highlights:

  • A lot of cine-stars are attending the events that are going to happen every day. Ganta Srinivas Rao spoke of the optimistic turnout of people expected for the event.
  • On Vijayadasami Day, actor Mahesh Babu will be attending the programme.
  • Actors Nara Rohit, Ravi Teja and others are also slated to take part.
  • Development sanctions have been given for various places such as Thotla Konda with Rs 3 crore, approach road in Madhurawada with Rs 6 crore, Rishikonda and other tourism spots with Rs. 14.3 crore.
  • Different other sites are under development with sanctions of 10 crore.
  • Dallapalli, Sea Swimming Zones, Buddhist Circuit and other projects being developed on a budget of 166 crores.
  • Araku eco-tourism, Araku, Paderu food courts, tribal museum, tourism resorts and other projects were at the stage of Detailed Report.

World Tourism Day 2017 is a day for joy in bringing the world closer and not just our port citybut the entire world will be revelling at various fests.
