Trend Report 2017
“Loose and free flowing silhouettes are really in right now. The whole idea of form fitting is slowly disappearing with everyone leaning more towards comfort fits. In terms of footwear, I think the sneaker trend has been catching on a lot. So far, the white sneaker has been used for pretty much everything. In the coming months, we’re definitely going to see more varieties of the sneaker fad, even in terms of colour. I also feel chokers have been a trend that people have been loving. In my opinion, people are going to experiment with different stylised versions of the classic choker.”
Wedding Checklist
“Brides these days choose to be modern, going with fusion rather than traditional. They try to experiment with a lot of edgier things. I think the traditional bride, the classic beauty, will always be in style, but brides are now willing to experiment more and more with colours and jewellery. The trend of having bridesmaids is also one that’s catching up. People are conscious about their pictures and theme now, so it’s always a good idea to plan the bridesmaids’ outfits in advance too. Different combinations of pastels will work well for the bridesmaids and also create a good backdrop for the bride.”
Party guide
“Parties have always meant lots of shine, it is where people can wear lots of glitter and sequins. I think lately there’s been a lot of silver and gold metallics that are in right now. Black is also a classic option.”
