Bringing an end to a long wait, the magnum opus has opened to packed houses all over the globe and if the first reports are anything to go by, the world seems to be in for something truly remarkable from Indian cinema.
Already taking to Twitter to share their opinions numerous fans have been flooding the social media platform with their reviews of 2.0. While a few are predicting an unprecedented storm at the box office, others are all-praise for the genius of director Shankar and other technicians involved in the film.
Different celebrities too seem to be brimming with excitement and can’t keep calm as their favourite Thalaivaa makes a grand entry to the theatres today.
Rajinikanth‘s daughter, Soundarya Rajinikanth, called the film as an out of the world wonder. Giving 2.0 a 4-star rating, Ramesh Bala tweeted, “As per moral compass, the hero of the movie is @akshaykumar character.. He has rocked both as Bird Man and as a normal man in an emotional flashback.”
Director Karthik Subbaraj, who would be directing Rajinikanth’s next film, Petta, shared, “verithanam overloaded… Thalaivaaaaaa…U r Mind-blowing & u really set the screens on FIRE!! @shankarshanmugh sir & superb team has made an EPIC & raises the benchmark of Indian films to TOP like Kings…Hats Off!! A film to Celebrate for all of us, is HERE.”
Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala too seemed to be mighty impressed with the film.
Starring Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in the lead roles, the Shankar directorial has apparently been made on a whopping budget of Rs 600 crores, making it India’s costliest film till date.
