Let’s Vizag – AP Tourism’s Summer Vacation Campaign Launched

The Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department has kick-started a summer vacation campaign called ‘Let’s Vizag’. To attract tourists from metro cities to the lush greenery of Vizag, the tourism department launched a massive campaign promoting our city as the ideal summer destination.

The AP Tourism Authority CEO Himanshu Shukla stated that Visakhapatnam is the ideal summer destination and that the campaign is aimed at tourists coming in from Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and New Delhi. “The campaign was launched for the first time with a focus on transforming Vizag as one of the best tourist destinations in the country. In the coming seasons, similar campaigns will be launched for Vijayawada and Konaseema, which also have great potentiality to draw tourists

,” he said.

Since the campaign was launched to attract a young crowd and recently married couples, along with the well-off sections of the society, diverting from the traditional advertising campaigns, the tourism department will publicise the vacation campaign widely on their social media too, spending Rs 2.5 crore on the whole process. They will be offering a free tour to 200 winners of the contests they will be running via social media.

We have tied up with all the hotels and 17 tour operators in Vizag to offer best deals to the tourists. This will be a joint effort of the Tourism department, hotels, and the tour operators,” he further stated. Four kinds of packages are offered – 5 star package, 4 star package, 3 star package and the budget package. The packages start as low as Rs 3,350 per person for two nights and three days, covering Vizag and Araku by staying at budget hotels. The highest package runs at Rs 7,975 per person for the same duration and locations, but with accommodation provided at five-star hotels.
