The Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu, is scheduled to visit Vizag on Wednesday, 3 November 2021. He will be staying in the city for a period of 3 days, leaving on 6 November. This schedule was shared by the Visakhapatnam Joint Collector, M Venugopal Reddy, in a meeting at the Collectorate.
The Vice President will be arriving in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday morning and will then head to attend a programme at the Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University in the city. In the evening, he will attend another programme at the Visakhapatnam Port Guest House. On his 3-day visit, Mr. Naidu will attend many other programmes. The Vice President would leave the city on Thursday, 6 November 2021.
In this regard, the Joint Collector has asked for strict Covid-19 protocol to be maintained and asked for the coordination of the city police, GVMC and other departments. He also insisted that there should be no lapses in the security of the Vice President during his visit to the city.
The Vice President is currently on a visit to Vijayawada where he went to the 120-year-old Ram Mohan Library on Sunday. There, he spoke about the importance of libraries in India’s freedom struggle and urged the youth of the country to contribute to the revival of libraries. The Vice President also paid tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on the occasion of the 146th birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India.
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu had last made a visit to Vizag in June 2021 where he was given an extensive tour of the Visakhapatnam Port by VPT Chairman, K Rama Mohana Rao IAS.
