The much-awaited information about the actress who is going to play the role of NTR’s wife, Basavatarakam, in the upcoming NTR biopic is finally here. Film trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, took to his Twitter handle and revealed that Bollywood actress, Vidya Balan, is going to star opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna who would be seen portraying the title role.
Taran Adarsh, on his Twitter handle, said, ” IT’S OFFICIAL… Vidya Balan in #NTR biopic… She enacts the part of NTR’s wife Basavatarakam… NTR’s son Balakrishna enacts the role of NTR… Directed by Krish… Produced by Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati and Vishnu Vardhan Induri [co-producing #1983Biopic in Hindi]. #NTRBiopic.”
The film would be portraying the journey of the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao who was an actor turned politician, Founder of Telugu Desam Party and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. It is going to be directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.
The NTR biopic is turning out to be one of the most awaited films in Tollywood. With Nandamuri Balakrishna all set to play the titular role, and the script almost locked, the filmmakers are currently on the hunt for the remaining cast of the film. While it has been learned that Vidya Balan will be playing the role of Basavatarakam, reports
suggest that actor Rana Daggubati might be roped in for the role of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and NTR’s son-in-law, Nara Chandrababu Naidu.The movie is expected to hit the screens on the occasion of Sankranti in 2019, as informed by its producer, Vishnu Induri.
