Vijaya Devarakonda to auction his Filmfare Best Actor Award

Vijay Devarakonda, the man who rose to fame by delivering two top-notch films has been winning the hearts of the movie lovers. First Pelli Choopulu and then Arjun Reddy, gave the actor a remarkable start in his career. His latest act in Mahanati also received a lot of appreciation. Not just in the movies, Vijay is widely known for his heartwarming gesture towards the society. Recently, Vijay has won the Filmfare best actor award for Arjun Reddy film and posted on Twitter that he has decided to auction his award and donate the money to the Chief Minister Relief Fund(CMRF) handled by the IT Minister of Telangana, KTR.

Vijay Devarakonda has posted on Twitter on June 17, quoting, “Ee award oka bonus. But I’d like to give it away to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. If they accept it, repu velli ichesta. Na intlo shelf meeda undatam Kante nenu puttina ee city ki it’s more useful :)” (“This award is a bonus. But I’d like to give it away to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. If they accept it, I’ll submit it tomorrow. I feel happy if its useful for the city where I am born in rather than having it on my shelf.

He also mentioned, “Roju Twitter lo Chusta, entho mandi help adigithe, @KTRTRS anna CMRF nundi help chestaru. If my first award can be auctioned and money/awareness can be raised towards this, That’ll be an epic 1st award.” (” I find @KTRTRS helping a lot of people who ask for help through CMRF. KTR, who has come across the tweet, retweeted to Vijay, quoting, “Vijay, many congratulations on winning your first Filmfare. Delighted you want to support the Chief Minister’s relief fund. My compliments to your thoughtful gesture. Let me revert on how we can go about this. Congrats again.”

The whole Twiterrati is applauding Vijay for the move and his awareness towards the society.

Vijay Devarakonda’s upcoming projects include Taxiwala, Dear Comrade, and Nota, a bilingual film marking the actor’s Tamil debut.
