If the latest buzz is anything to go by, Tamil superstar Chiyaan Vikram’s son is all set to make his Telugu debut. Dhruv, who is currently busy filming for his debut ‘Varma’, would apparently be seen in the Telugu film in his second outing.
Reportedly, director Sekhar Kammula has roped in Dhruv for his upcoming film, which is said to based on dance. Kammula is known for introducing many popular actors in Telugu film industry, including the likes of Nikhil Siddharth, Rana Daggubati, and Sai Pallavi among others. The official announcement from the filmmakers is expected to come in anytime next month.
Dhruv, meanwhile, is shooting for ‘Varma’, which is a remake of Telugu blockbuster, ‘Arjun Reddy’. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial created a rage at the box office and emerged as a blockbuster. With Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey playing the leads, Arjun Reddy not only catered to the Telugu audience but also made a name for itself in other markets as well. While Dhruv will be seen in its Tamil avatar, Shahid Kapoor will be playing the lead in the Hindi remake.
Ace director Bala is helming the Tamil version. The director is a national award winner and has directed critically-acclaimed movies such as ‘Pithamagan’ (Sivaputrudu), ‘Naan Kadavu’ (Nene Devudni), and ‘Sethu’ (Seshu).
