Virat Kohli shares his love for Vizag: With the Indian cricket team already in Vizag for the 2nd ODI against West Indies, the frenzy among the fans seems to be reaching a new high. And whilst the citizens are gearing up to witness their favourite stars in action on Wednesday, a special someone put up a special post for our special city.
Virat Kohli, who is set to be one of the biggest attractions to the fans on the match day, took to his social media portals to share his love for Vizag. Posting a picture with the RK Beach in the background the Indian skipper shared, “What a stunning place, love coming to Vizag.”
The post seems to have hit a chord with numerous Vizagites who are busy sharing their favourite cricketer’s love for Vizag.
Apart from bowling over the run-machine with its beauty, Vizag has also been a happy hunting ground for Virat Kohli. The 29-year-old accounts for a few memorable knocks at the ground, including a couple centuries against oppositions like Australia and England.
Come Wednesday will also be looking to go past the 10,000 run-mark in ODIs. The Indian skipper, who currently accounts for 9919 runs, needs just 81 runs more to become the 5th Indian and the 13th cricketer overall to amass 10,000 runs in the 50-over format of the game. By achieving the same, Kohli will be joining an elite hall of fame that includes the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Ricky Ponting, Rahul Dravid, Brian Lara and MS Dhoni among others.
