One of the world’s most valued companies, Uber has recently announced Virat Kohli as the brand ambassador for the Asia Pacific region.
This is the first time that the company has chosen a brand ambassador for this region. Besides being the brand ambassador, the Indian cricketer is also going to be actively involved in the marketing campaigns, and customer experience initiatives, by Uber India.
In a reported by Times of India, Virat Kohli said, “As a cricketer, I travel a lot and I have personally enjoyed the seamless experience of booking an Uber. It’s great to see how the company is using technology to revolutionize the way people move around cities and is empowering millions by creating economic opportunities.”
Virat is immensely happy to join hands with a company that is so committed toward their customers.
Also, as per the reports from The Hindu, Mr Amit Jain, President, Uber India and South Asia said, “In Virat, we’ve found a partner who reflects the drive we share with everyday India while embodying our commitment to serving the country.”
However, the financial terms of the partnership are not disclosed yet.
The company officials also spoke about India being one of the key markets for Uber and how the company will continue to invest in its product, people, and processes. Last month, the company also choose a footballer named Mohamed Salah as the brand ambassador for the Egypt market.
