The long standing dreams of Visakhapatnam people of enjoying at the shack on a beach is soon to come true as APTDC plans to take the fun element on Yarada Beach a notch up.
One of the most scenic of the many beaches of Visakhapatnam, Yarada is going to get a face-lift with ‘the shack on the beach’ concept coming soon from APTDC. Not just that, a restaurant along with the shacks is on the cards and the estimated cost of development is pegged at 1.5 crores INR. The sleepy and cozy fishing village of Yarada is there too and we can foresee many long and lazy weekends relaxing at the shack on the beach. This will undoubtedly be superb for local Visakhapatnam crowd to have fun and spend good time but also for the tourists who are visiting our city.
Plans in the pipeline also include the shack model to be worked out for Mangamaripeta beach. Off late there has been much questioning regarding the delay in delivery by APTDC on some tourism projects. Notwithstanding this, the plan for the two delightful sites in Visakhapatnam is a welcome one. For reaching the Yarada Beach, many are apprehensive about the narrow and winding road that leads to the beach. A lot of concern surrounds access to this location and especially caution is recommended for those on two wheelers. An alternative route is the hilltop road from Yarada to Gangavaram, on the other side of the city. This road can be utilised by those trying to access Yarada from Gangavaram, Gajuwaka, Steel Plant and Anakapalle side.
The shack is a good idea for those of us who love to unwind by the sea and enjoy a quiet moment or two. The best part is that the shacks may be coming up as early at February 2018. Yayy!! Most of us can visualize ourselves chilling on the Beach already to be sure.
