The upcoming week in Visakhapatnam promises to be an exciting. Here are the 3 upcoming events that are expected to light up the city in the coming few days.
The Vizag Fintech Festival 2018 is poised to be the nation’s largest Financial Technology event. The week-long event will take place from October 22nd-26th, in the city of Vizag, also known as India’s Fintech Valley. Among other highlights, the world’s first social humanoid robot Sophia will be thrilling the city at the upcoming Vizag Fintech Festival. Deemed to be the star attraction at the five-day event, Sophia would also be taking part in an interactive session on the following day.
India and West Indies will be locking horns in the second ODI in Visakhapatnam on 24 October. The cricket match was originally supposed to be played at the Holkar stadium in Indore. However, a dispute between the BCCI and the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Board over complementary tickets called for a change of venue. The two countries will be battling it out in the 5 match ODI series that will be starting from 21 October in Guwahati.
Visakhapatnam is gearing up to go pink on Saturday, 27 October as yet another edition of Pinkathon beckons the city. The event creates space for women across the city to come together as a community and extend support to the country’s largest running event dedicated to women and spreading awareness on breast cancer. Gearing at taking up health and fitness into one’s hands, the awareness run is one of its kind. The run will be spearheaded by fitness promoter and Pinkathon ambassador, Milind Soman.
