The coming few months promise to be special for Visakhapatnam. From sporting events to the annual cultural fests, a host of exciting events have formed the line up to add a new flavour to the city’s tourist fervour. Here are 4 exciting upcoming events that are set to thrill Visakhapatnam.
The cricket fever is set to light up the city on 24 October. India will be locking horns with West Indies in the 2nd ODI in Visakhapatnam. The cricket match was originally supposed to be played at the Holkar stadium in Indore. However, a dispute between the BCCI and the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Board over complementary tickets called for a change of venue.
Vizag is gearing up to go pink on 27 October as yet another edition of Pinkathon beckons the city. The event creates space for women across the city to come together as a community and extend support to the country’s largest running event dedicated to women and spreading awareness on breast cancer. Gearing at taking up health and fitness into one’s hands, the awareness run is one of its kind. The run will be spearheaded by fitness promoter and Pinkathon ambassador, Milind Soman.

Set in the picturesque valleys of Araku, the festival will be held from 18-20 January 2019.
