Visakhapatnam is making a mark in the world in the arena of Fintech. The students are also pushing the bar higher and so impressive were their ideas that now 12 of these Fintech students are invited to Singapore for an Overseas Immersion Programme. The institute from Singapore i.e Ngee Ann Polytechnic will be introducing these students to cutting edge technologies such as augmented reality, 3-D printing, cyber security and more. These technologies that are making rounds in the arena of Fintech will give a fillip to the aspiring and talented students.
A 3 member team from Ngee Ann Polytechnic Singapore were in Visakhapatnam for an interactive visit and were impressed by the students. Declaring that the financial services across the globe depended on Fintech, a sharing of technologies and talents through Student Exchange programmes would do a great deal of good. Singapore has sanctioned 225 million dollar towards Fintech for encouraging start ups. Further 5 polytechnics have signed MoUs for mentoring 100 students. Their idea is that polytechnics make a student job ready as soon as they finish education and is preferable. Actual hands on experience goes a long way into training. Andhra Pradesh government has signed an MoU with Monetary Government of Singapore for welcoming startup ideas.
Here is wishing the Fintech students from GITAM University all the best and making good on the promising start they receive from Visakhapatnam itself.
