The ongoing IPL has witnessed numerous riveting contests. With last-over finishes being the norm of the season, the fans have been treated to exciting games all through the season thus far. And with the league phase of the tournament nearing completion, the stage is being set for the all-important playoffs. While the first Qualifier of IPL 2019 will be played in Chennai, Visakhapatnam will be hosting Qualifier 2 and the Eliminator, and the tickets for the same have gone on sale.
While Qualifier 2 will be played on 8 May, the Eliminator will be held in the city on 10 May. And with just about a few days left to witness their favourite stars in the city, the frenzy among the fans in Vizag has been reaching a new high. Adding to the fervour, the tickets for the upcoming IPL games in Visakhapatnam have now been made available online. Starting from Rs 500, the tickets have been priced at Rs 1000, Rs 1250, Rs 1500, Rs 1750, Rs 800, Rs 3500, Rs 5000 and Rs 7500.
Interestingly, the upcoming IPL games mark the return of the mega tournament to Visakhapatnam after a gap of two years. In an effort to make the occasion all the more special, the officials have been adorning the stadium with all the right spirits. As Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians already have their targets set on the coveted trophy, the likes of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab, and Kolkata Knight Riders are fighting it out to book the final slot for the playoffs. It’ll be interesting to see which of the four teams will visit the city to entertain the crowd here.
