Visakhapatnam – 306, Very poor

Rajahmundry – 294, Poor

Tirupati – 229, Poor

Vijayawada – 123, Moderate

Amaravati – 199, Poor

A cause is the massive scale and places where Bhhogi fires were lit and youngsters have put energy and enthusiasm into bigger fires and more turn out. In the process it was not just organic matter such as wood, logs, dried leaves etc but also plastic, garbage and inorganic matter that has been burnt. In the name of fun and revelry, the atmosphere has been tarnished.

Huge smog patches and grey smoke clouds were witnessed by the city residents. Visakhapatnam that takes pride in being clean and green has been choked and coughing. CPCB, Central pollution Control Board and SPCB have released the figures to sensitize people about the adversities of the pollution caused and to caution against it.
