The East Coast Railway (ECoR) Waltair Division headquartered at Visakhapatnam has decided to continue special trains on the Yesvantpur-Howrah route. Due to lockdown in Orissa, the Visakhapatnam-Raipur special trains have seen very less demand and hence been cancelled.
Visakhapatnam-Raipur-Visakhapatnam Cancelled (Train No. 08528/08527)
Due to the complete lockdown announced by the Government of Odisha on 10 and 11 of May 2021, the following special trains have been cancelled by ECoR.
Train No. 08528 Visakhapatnam-Raipur special train leaving Visakhapatnam on 10 and 11 of May 2021 is cancelled.
The train originally left Visakhapatnam at 04:25 AM and reached Raipur at 08:00 PM.
Train No. 08527 Raipur-Visakhapatnam special trains leaving Raipur on 10 and 11 of May 2021 are cancelled.
The train originally left Raipur at 05:30 AM and reached Visakhapatnam at 06:40 PM.
People are requested to note the changes and act accordingly.
Howrah-Yesvantpur-Howrah Special To Continue (Train No. 06598/06597)
Considering the requirements of the passengers, it has been decided by ECoR to continue the running of the following special trains:
Train No. 06597 Yesvantpur-Howrah Special will leave Yesvantpur every Thursday at 09:55 AM from 13 May 2021 to 24 June 2021 and will reach Howrah at 06.30 PM. The train will reach Visakhapatnam at 04:20 AM on the next day of its journey and departure at 04.40 AM.
Train No. 06598 Howrah-Yesvantpur Special will leave Howrah every Tuesday at 12:40 PM from 18 May 2021 to 29 June 2021 and will reach Yesvantpur at 08:40 PM. The train will reach Visakhapatnam at 01.45 AM in the early hours of the second day of its journey and departure at 02:05 AM.
The train will have a composition of fourteen sleeper class and five general second class coaches.
The train will have the following stoppages: Kharagpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Ongole, Renigunta, Katpadi and Krishnarajapuram stations between Howrah and Yesvantpur.
Passengers are requested by ECoR to strictly follow all the safety protocols before and during their journey on these special trains in the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic. All the passengers are requested to wear masks, sanitize or wash hands frequently and maintain social distance while travelling.
