A fire broke out at a State Bank of India ATM kiosk, located at Narasimha Nagar in Visakhapatnam. Reportedly, the District Fire Department was informed about the fire around 4 pm on Thursday. The reason behind the fire break isn’t known yet for sure. Also, the amount of cash torched in the accident is yet to be estimated.
The Fire Department got the fire under control and it took them about half an hour to bring the flames down with the help of the Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF). According to the officials from the fire department, a short circuit is being suspected as the possible reason for the fire outbreak
The bank officials informed that a third party loaded the cash on to the ATM and the estimate of the cash lost to fire can only be arrived at after consulting them.
