Visakhapatnam Steel Plant to donate Rs 30 lakhs to the cyclone affected

In an effort to help the Titli cyclone-affected victims in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP) will be donating Rs 30 lakhs to the CM Relief Fund.

Reportedly, all the trade unions of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, on Wednesday, met the concerned authorities and announced a contribution of Rs 300 from each employee, towards the Titli affected victims in Srikakulam. The management too will be contributing to the relief fund to help the rescue and relief operations in the district. Also, as a part of the organisation’s CSR activity, other essential relief materials will be donated to the affected families.

The very severe cyclonic storm (VSCS) Titli has destroyed the districts of Srikakulam and Vizianagaram in Andhra Pradesh. Trying to rebuild the lives in these districts, the state government has called out to the public to be a part of its efforts. The public can now lend a helping hand to the flood victims by donating to the flood relief fund.The Telugu film fraternity too has come forward to do its bit in resurrecting the devastated areas in Andhra Pradesh. Telugu actors Vijay Devarakonda and Varun Tej donated Rs 5 lakhs to the relief fund and urged others to do their bit as well in helping resurrect the districts. Nandamuri brothers, Jr NTR and Kalyanram also donated

Rs 15 lakhs and Rs 5 lakhs respectively to the CM relief fund.

Sampoornesh Babu and director Anil Ravipudi too helped the cause by donating Rs 50 thousand and Rs 1 lakh respectively. While actors Navdeep and Nikhil are helping in the relief operations, Manoj Manchu tweeted that he would adopt the Titli affected children and provide proper education to them.
