Our Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is here and has highlighted that Visakhapatnam will lead the Smart City movement.
The 39th All India Public Relations Conference on the theme of “Smart Cities, Smart Communication” happened yesterday and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has expressed strong hopes regarding Visakhapatnam leading the Smart City movement. He expressed that it is going to happen through collective effort and the role of PR personnel in Public Relations Society of India for the same. His vision extends beyond just making a smart city but smart villages and towns too. An overall growth and development is what he has in mind. The secret as per him lies in joint efforts, smart technology coupled with smart manpower.
There is a lot that leads one to think that Visakhapatnam will lead the Smart City movement. Why not? It is the largest city in Andhra Pradesh and has heavy industries, steel plant, seaports, refinery, natural harbour and shipyard and one of the largest seaports in India. These and more has lead to the favourable conclusion drawn by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
The conference ie the 39th All India Public Relations Conference on the theme of “Smart Cities, Smart Communication” was well attended by HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Agriculture Minister S Chandrasekhar Reddy, Collector Pravin Kumar, I&PR Commissioner S Venkateswar, National President of PRSI Ajit Pathak, Vice-President of PRSI US Sarma, secretary Visakhapatnam chapter PLK Murthy and national council member BV Vijaya Prasad.
