As many already know, there’s no dearth in the number of projects that are expected to shape up in Vizag. From swanky malls and sports stadiums to IT complexes and other technological wonderlands, the city is expected to flaunt them all in the coming few years. Here are 3 such ambitious technological projects that have been announced to Vizag recently.
#1 Data Centre Park
Andhra Pradesh government signed an MoU with infrastructure conglomerate, The Adani Group, to set up a Data Centre Park in Vizag. The renewable energy powered 5 GW Park is expected to be developed across three campuses in the coming 20 years. Reportedly, the Group will be investing a whopping Rs 70,000 crores for the same. While Group Chairman, Gautam Adani, opined that Vizag is an ideal location for setting up the Park, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu declared that the project would not only be a game-changer for the state but for the entire country.
#2 Intelligent Hub
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, while addressing the delegates at UNESCO-MGIEP’s Tech 2018 conference, had announced that an Intelligent Global Hub would be set up in Vizag. Aiming to make the Intelligent Global Hub a breeding ground for global design institutions, the Chief Minister said that the hub, which is likely to draw investments close to $700 Million, would also be providing 5000 jobs.
#3 Animation and Gaming city
To make the state a preferred destination in the fields of gaming, animation, and virtual reality, the Cabinet approved the Animation Visual Effects Gaming and Comics (AVGC) Policy 2018-2020. As a part of the same, it was announced that an animation and gaming city will be developed in Vizag over 40 acres. The state government had also announced that it will grant 25-30% one-time subsidy on capital expenditure for hardware and supply 24/7 quality power with an internet fibre line at the AVGC Hub.
