To improvise the tourism sector, the Andhra Pradesh government is keen on beautifying the Vizag beach road and other tourist spots.
In a meeting on Tuesday, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao met Collector Pravin Kumar, Metropolitan Commissioner of VMRDA Basanth Kumar, Regional Director AP Tourism Radhakrishna Murthy, District Tourism Officer Poornima Devi and other senior officials.
The Minister has expressed is dissatisfaction on the slow-paced works on the Beach road from Coastal Battery to Bheemili. He mentioned that GVMC, VMRDA and Tourism Department should be working together to finish the works and establish new tourism attractions.
The VMRDA officials have been directed by the Minister to fasten the works related to the Integrated Museum Complex. VMRDA Commissioner Basanth Kumar said that the people have chosen the project prepared by VMRDA which involves the concepts of integrated museum and underground parking.
The model presents the integrated museum along with the subway and underground parking facility that can accommodate approximately 1200 two wheelers and 800 cars. Greenery and food spots are also present in the model. Model 1 is worth Rs 100 Crore. The parking would be accommodating more than1000 cars and two-wheelers each and would be constructed near the complex. The Sea Harrier Aircraft and 3d Naval Aviation museums would be set up at a cost of 20 Crores at the proposed complex at the beach road.
