There are various events taking place during the Bird Festival at the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam. The registrations for these events will commence from the first week of January 2022.
Through these events, visitors at the Vizag zoo can learn more information and interesting facts about birds. Bird watching brings people closer to nature and improves both cardiovascular, as well as mental, health.
Visakhapatnam has a large number of bird watchers and nature enthusiasts. Every year, during the winter season, many bird watchers across Andhra Pradesh visit Visakhapatnam District for bird watching and exploring the biodiversity of the North Eastern Ghats region. The wetlands around Visakhapatnam, and the ghats, are also known to host rich avian diversity.
