A 5-day long Vizag Fintech Festival will be held in the city from October 22-26. Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara Lokesh, who was at the curtain raiser of the event, launched the official website of the festival. IT Advisor to Government J.A. Chowdary and IT Secretary Vijayan were also present at the event.
Addressing the media at the curtain raiser event, Nara Lokesh said that the government plans to stay ahead of the curve in this fast-changing dynamics of the fintech ecosystem. “We are using technology in every aspect in Andhra Pradesh and its prime example is the implementation of real-time governance in the State using IoT sensors and drones,” he was quoted as saying.
The festival will be witnessing about 75 eminent speakers and 2500 delegates from all over the globe discuss and voice opinions on the latest market trends and several booming technologies in the global fintech ecosystem.
Vizag Fintech Festival will also conduct a million dollar challenge to encourage startups to exhibit their innovative solutions and set up offices in Vizag. AgriTech, EmergeTech and Fintech are the three areas where applications from the startups are invited.
To promote the festival, road shows are being planned across the many prominent cities including Chicago, New York, Hong Kong, San Francisco and Paris among others.
