Heat waves and rise in temperatures continue to prevail in Vizag

The people of Vizag, for the past three days, have been facing the wrath of the sun. The scorching heat and heatwaves in the city have been scaring people. Though monsoon arrived in Andhra Pradesh, the temperature has not turned down but started to rise.

The highest temperature of the season in Vizag has been recorded on Sunday. At the Vizag Airport, the temperature was reported to be 41.4 degrees which have been 7.4 degrees more than the normal temperature, reportedly.

The weather forecast department has mentioned that heatwaves have surfaced over the city for the first time in the season. They warned the citizens that the temperatures would be the same for the next two days and required safety measures have to be taken. Especially, special care is required for children who are attending the schools.

The reason behind the heat waves is due to less humidity in the air. The humidity recorded on Sunday in Vizag is below 60%.
