With the government coming up with rigorous plans, Vizag district is becoming the scene for a major boost for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises i.e the MSME.
In light of the state government’s new policy to promote MSME units on a large scale, the district administration has agreed to allocate 120 plots in the Industrial Park, Gurrampalem in Vizag to 75 new MSME units.
The new proposals submitted by entrepreneurs were screened by the District Industries Promotion Committee in a meeting on Monday. Of the 30 claims submitted for the industrial promotion incentives, the committee accepted 23 claims and passed orders to release Rs 82 lakh to these 23 units.
The meeting was attended by designated officials including Ramalingeswar Raju, the General Manager of District Industries Centre, and C. Yathi Raju, the Zonal Manager of APIIC, among others.
Presided over by the Chairman of the committee and the Collector of Visakhapatnam, Sri Pravin Kumar, the meeting also allocated four plots at the Narsipatnam-Rachapalli Industrial Park for a new MSME unit.
