With yet another robbery coming to light, Vizag continues to be concerned for safety. While the spree of chain snatching and cybercrime incidents have already left the citizens worried, the latest burglaries seem to be accentuating the cause.
In the latest, a resident of Seethammadha was robbed of valuables. As per the details revealed by the police, the incident took place at TPT Colony on 4 November. Allu Revathi, who works as the Head of Department, Architecture at Andhra University, found the doors of her house broken in the morning to find that valuables amounting to much were stolen. Reportedly, a diamond bracelet, worth Rs 2 lakh, a gold watch and necklace were stolen from the woman’s house. With the victim filing a complaint, the police worked towards gaining further insights.
Recently, it was also reported that a resident of MVP Colony in Vizag was robbed off 8 Tolas of gold, 128 grams of Silver and a certain amount of cash from her house. The woman, in this case, residing alone at the Sector 11 of the area, had left to Mahbubnagar to see her daughter. On the morning of 27 October, the neighbours had noticed her house’s doors being open and informed the police regarding the same.
