Watch Here: Samantha’s debut item song – the ‘Sizzling Song of the Year’ from Pushpa

Excitement has never been more for an item song in Tollywood. And this time with actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu debuting with her first-ever item song for Allu Arjun’s forthcoming pan India film ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, cine buffs can’t ask for more. Sending the temperature high, as we near Christmas, here is Samantha’s ‘Sizzling Song of the Year’ from Pushpa.

Ever since the first snippet release, the movie title has been trending on social media with the hashtag #ThaggedheLe. And to add to it, when the filmmaker’s announced that Samantha would star in the item song from Pushpa titled – Sizzling Song of the Year, this song has been most-awaited and has been sending ripples across the Indian film industry. 

On the work front, taking a step ahead in international cinema, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has bagged a Hollywood project. The South Indian star has been roped in to play the lead role in the movie ‘Arrangements of Love’. The BAFTA-winning Welsh director, Philip John, who directed the widely acclaimed Downton Abbey series, will helm the project.

Similarly, in Indian cinema, Samantha is playing the titular role in the Telugu mythological drama, Shakuntalam. She’s also a part of the Tamil romantic comedy Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal. The film, which has been directed by Vignesh Shivan, also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.

About Pushpa:

Starring Allu Arjun in a never-before-seen avatar, Pushpa centres around the red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh. To add to all the excitement, this movie will mark Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil’s Telugu debut. Faasil will be playing the antagonist in this movie which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, as the female lead, Jagapathi Babu and Prakash Raj. 

Pushpa has been announced to be a two-part story, with the first part releasing in 2021 and the second part in 2022. The first part of Pushpa, directed by Sukumar, is now slated to release near Christmas i.e., 17 December 2021.
