Summer is around, and if the rising problems of water scarcity are anything to go by, the matters seem deemed to deteriorate further. People always fear about the shortage when summer hits the town.Nobody wants a shortage of water supply, especially when it is really hot outside. So, to avoid encountering such problematic situations, let us follow some of the basic water conservation techniques which will make summers pass away without being dry.
1.SAY NO TO SHOWERS
Shower facility has become a common feature in almost every house nowadays. Staying in the shower for a longer duration is refreshing but at the same time, it also leads to a lot of water wastage. It can be saved in a huge quantity if we stop using showers and use a bucket full of water. Using the bucket instead of showers would prove to be a wiser choice.
2.EFFICIENT TAP USAGE, LESS WATER SHORTAGE
Taps keep running the whole time while we wash dishes which results in the wastage of around 100 litres of water. While a thin stream would result in the conservation of about 40 litres, using a bucket would help conserve around 60 litres of water.
3.EK BOONDH PANI KI KEEMAT TUM KYA JAANO
Every drop counts. We always neglect the drops of water flowing away due to the damage in the pipes or the taps. But eventually, they become the main criminals in the wastage of water. Preventing such leakages can help us in a lot of water conservation.
4.SAVE AS YOU SHAVE
We have a habit of keeping the tap open whenever we brush or shave. If you close the faucet whenever water is not necessary, it will help us in conserving water.
5.CAR WASHING
Car washing is basically done with the help of a hose which consumes many litres of water. Leaving the hose running will waste around 500 litres of water, which is a huge quantity. A bucket and a scrub will come in handy which might become an exercise for you and will also save a lot of water.
All these little things in mind will always make a huge difference. Start implementing ideas like this and spread around too.
