Its mid march and the temperature have already reached 31 degree Celsius in Visakhapatnam. The roads in the city have started to desert by mid noon and the strong sunrays make it difficult to get out in the wee hours of the day. People are seen wearing caps, scarves and glasses all over the streets and more and more people stay indoors in afternoon. Temperature will gradually increase in the coming days and it is very important to take care of yourself from the scotching heat and the harmful sunrays. Follow these simple steps to avoid falling sick and to avoid other cons of summer season.
DRINK LOTS OF WATER
This is the basic thing that you need to add in your regime. Have lots of water and consume food with are high in water level. It is very necessary to maintain the water level in your body as your body looses more water in summer.
ADD JUICY FRUITS AND FRESH SALADS TO YOUR DIET
Try to eat more juicy fruits like watermelon, grapes, pears, blueberries and strawberries, pomegranates etc to get back the lost fluids and moisturisers. This will not only give you back the body fluids but will also make you avoid all the greasy food by keeping you full.
SKIN EXFOLIATION AND USE OF ROSE WATER
Never avoid exfoliating your skin in summers. It is very important to remove the dead skin in hot days to allow your skin to breathe. Usage of rose water to wash your face is also a good habit in summers as its natural cooling properties makes it excellent toner for the hot days.
USE FACE PACK AND MASK ONCE EVERY ALTERNATE WEEK
Make sure to keep your skin clean in summers. Use beauty products like cooling face packs and masks to remove the dirt and the dead skin. This will unclog your pores and will also lighten your skin tone. Usage of these hacks will help you to maintain a healthy and glowing skin throughout the summers.
USE SUNSCREEN EVERYDAY
It is very essential to use a good sunscreen every day. Apply it before leaving house and reapply it after every 3-4 hours if working outside. Do not avoid applying it as harmful sunrays can do damage to your skin even in a contact for few minutes.
LEMON FOR THE SUN TAN
Lemon is a natural bleaching agent and will help you to get rid of the tan. It contains natural ascorbic acid which helps to bleach the tanned skin. Apply it on face and neck with a cotton ball. But also remember that it dries your face so use a good moisturiser afterwards.
HATS AND LOOSE FITTING CLOTHES TO YOUR RESCUE
Use caps, hats and sunglasses to protect your eyes and face from direct sunlight. Wear loose fitting clothes to avoid irritation and excessive sweating. Apply a good body deodoriser every time before going out.
STAY INDOORS BETWEEN 11 AM – 4 PM
It is best to avoid contact with direct sunlight so avoid getting outdoors from 11am to 4pm as sunlight is the strongest in this period. Stay indoors and avoid getting tanned.
