The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trust and the Youth Engagement have joined hands for organizing Youth Assembly in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, 24 February. With an intention of cultivating leadership skills and building confidence among students, this Youth and Legislature program has been taken up by the Youth Engagement.
“Designed according to the rules and conventions of the procedures followed in the Assembly of Andhra Pradesh, the participants will represent different political factions and will get a chance to experience the procedure of amendment through a Private Member Bill, and will get an opportunity to debate and voice their opinions,” an official release read.
Ganta Srinivasa Rao (HRD Minister), P. Madhava (BJP MLC), G. Nageswara Rao (Andhra University Vice-Chancellor) and Dr. Khaja Rahamutalla from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Trust among others are expected to grace the event.
Andhra University Vice-Chancellor, G. Nageswara Rao said, “70% of the population in India is below the age of 35. India is a young country and we need to tap the potential of the youth to make India grow as a global leader. Youngsters are the strength of this country. Constitution has the power of words but only with your power and participation, its implementation can be ensured and safeguarded”.
