Responding to women’s pleas that their husbands were getting addicted to liquor, the president of YSRCP, YS Jagan, during his padayatra, said his party would introduce prohibition in phases if voted to power in the 2019 elections.
As a part of his padayatra, Jagan is currently interacting with people from different districts of Andhra Pradesh to know about their problems. Friday saw Jagan hearing to the complaints of people at Chimakurthy of Prakasam district.
As reported by The Hindu. Jagan claimed that TDP’s promise of shutting down the belt shops attached to licensed liquor outlets was only on paper and is yet to be materialized. He also alleged that the situation has deteriorated further with “door delivery” of alcohol to tipplers.
While responding to all the complaints of the people, he mentioned various reforms would be brought into the picture if his party comes into power in the 2019 elections.
The YSRCP honcho had launched his padayatra after paying tributes to his father, late Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy at Idupulapaya in YSR Kadapa district. Jagan had mentioned that he would be covering a total of 3000 km across the 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh to interact with people and know their grievances and complaints.
